OUR IMPACT
We're aware that the fashion industry is responsible for some staggering statistics. Globally, up to 100 billion garments are produced each year. Of the materials used to make that clothing, 87% of it is incinerated or ends up in the landfills (source). To offset that impact, we manufacture and release our clothes in small drops to limit wasted materials, and we repurpose any surplus fabric to make fun surprises like tote bags or scrunchies. All our goodies are packaged with EcoEnclose, an eco-friendly option focused on circularity and regenerative source materials. Finally, given that the fashion industry accounts for 24% of the world's insecticides and 11% of its pesticides (source), we buy our fabric from mills in downtown LA that abide by certain toxicity standards and laws.
If you're like us, then you like to do your research before clicking 'buy.' We've done that for you, so you can rest assured that your purchase is coming from, and going toward, a responsible place. As long as you're sun-chasing, we're hand-crafting - doing our eco-conscious part one stitch at a time.
WE'RE GETTING THERE
As a small brand just getting started, we don't have it all figured out. But we're hard workers and fast learners who prioritize transparency and accountability. Moving forward, we'll be documenting and sharing our journey with you. From sketch design and color theory, to fabric selection and production, you can follow along on social media to learn more about our process every step of the way.
