OUR FABRICS
All our fabrics are chosen or engineered for high quality and multipurpose. They also have dimension, meaning you can dress our clothes up for an evening dinner or down for a lounge on the beach. And because they’re made to last, they'll live in and out of your suitcase for much longer than a season or two.
LINEN
Linen is a beach goer’s best friend. Lightweight, breathable, and naturally moisture-wicking, it’s got you covered through heat and humidity. A sophisticated fabric, it also has body. When paired and accessorized just right, linen is elevated enough to take your refined look all over the island, day or night.
HONEY LINEN
This linen blend is both soft and structured. Smooth like its name, honey linen will glide with you through the day in comfort and style. Pair with a button-up for easy polish or a simple tee for leveled-up chill. By sunset, this fabric is still structured enough to pair with a heel and some jewelry for a night out. Honey linen pieces will be the hardest working items in your closet. We recommend buying them in multiple styles and colors.
MARSHMALLOW GAUZE
One hundred percent cotton with billow bounce, marshmallow gauze is just what it sounds like. More casual than the linen, this fabric is a plush must-have for days spent working from home, cozying up in bed, or a laid-back lunch with friends. Offered in two seasonal colors and two neutrals, its bubbled-up texture still gives it dimension. When designing with the marshmallow gauze, we give our pieces a touch of structure to keep you comfy without sacrificing versatility. Whether biking to the beach or grabbing a coffee, it's the perfect fabric for life's moments of leisure and play.
BUTTER COTTON
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of a tee that’s been worn, washed, and loved a thousand times. But this fabric comes pretty close. Thin and unstructured, our butter cotton hangs loose on the body for a barely there feel. A staple in any tropic-dweller's closet, it's the fabric that makes our tees and tanks irresistible for easy style. This cotton will best retain its buttery texture if hand-washed cold and hung to dry. If you must, you can wash it on a delicate setting - just be sure to separate it from other colors.
CARE
Our honey linen and marshmallow gauze are safe for machine washing. They're pre-washed, so you can rest assured they won't shrink or bleed dye. Our colored butter cotton tees and tanks, on the other hand, should be handled with a little more care. We often use a pigment dye to give these pieces a vintage look, and that dye sometimes bleeds. The upside: when pigment dye bleeds, it pools into the edges and makes your garments look cooler! Don't worry, this effect is intentional. Just be sure not to mix colored butter cotton with other garments to avoid pigment transfer. All our white and shell tees and tanks are free of pigment dye. They'll mix happily into your lights-only loads, just wash them on a gentle cycle.
